Yes, this episode almost literally goes out not with a bang, but with a whimper. It is still competent, at the very least, but that doesn’t excuse the weak story. I hate to sound like a broken record, but The Walking Dead: Michonne should not have been episodic, as things are over still too quick and feel stripped of the more interesting gameplay bits from before to help support it. Suffice it to say, the tale of Michonne deserves a much better ending than this."},{"server":"HardcoreGamer","url":"https://hardcoregamer.com/2016/02/23/review-the-walking-dead-michonne-episode-1-in-too-deep/194429/","date":"2016-02-23","rating":3,"ratingBase":5,"ratingPercent":60,"abstract":"In Too Deep isn’t bad, nor does it fully suggest that The Walking Dead: Michonne will be a letdown. But if this helping were any indication, it would appear that splitting this side game up into an episodic adventure was a bad idea. As a first episode, this lays the groundwork for the rest of the game, but it doesn’t find the time to do anything else significant as well. Hopefully Michonne’s journey picks up some steam next time, but for now you’d probably be better off waiting for the whole shebang to assemble itself."}],"updatedAt":"2016-04-27"}
