The fact that one of the biggest highlights of the experience was picking up floppy disks with art from Shovel Knight, Firewatch, Journey and others is equal parts awesome and disappointing. For a game whose initial episodes showed so much promise, it’s a shame to report that the full version of République does not live up to the excitement that it built up over the past couple of years. From an ending that feels oddly unsatisfying to gameplay that finds a way to grate on your nerves during an extended playthrough, République feels like a game that is best experienced in episodic chunks rather than a full-fledged experience. There is enough to like here, namely its themes and world-building, to warrant a playthrough at some point down the line, but those who have been waiting for the full console release to dive in might want to look elsewhere for the time being."},{"server":"Game Informer","url":"https://www.gameinformer.com/games/republique__episode_3_ones__zeroes/b/ios/archive/2014/10/27/republique-episode-3-ones-and-zeroes-review-game-informer.aspx","date":"2014-10-27","rating":7,"ratingBase":10,"ratingPercent":70,"abstract":"Republique steps up its storytelling at the midway point, but other problems persist."},{"server":"Game Informer","url":"https://www.gameinformer.com/games/republique__episode_2_metamorphosis/b/ios/archive/2014/05/06/republique-episode-2-metamorphosis-review-game-informer.aspx","date":"2014-05-06","rating":7,"ratingBase":10,"ratingPercent":70,"abstract":"Over four months after the first episode’s release, République returns."},{"server":"Game Informer","url":"https://www.gameinformer.com/games/republique__episode_1_exordium/b/ios/archive/2013/12/24/republique-exordium-review.aspx","date":"2013-12-24","rating":7.5,"ratingBase":10,"ratingPercent":75,"abstract":"If you can forgive some frustrations, Exordium is an intriguing start to this ambitious episodic title."}],"updatedAt":"2016-03-21"}
