There were skeptics who thought the episodic formula wasn’t suited for Hitman, but IO Interactive proved them wrong. Though there were some hiccups at the start, with connectivity issues and lengthy load times on consoles, the eight months of constant updates allowed for the Danish developer to iron things out quite nicely. The amount of support that Hitman has received is nothing short of outstanding, with consistent missions flowing in, along with a slew of Elusive Targets that challenged the most hardcore assassins. It also says something that, while half the missions aren’t all that impressive, you’ll still want to play through them over and over again to master the perfect kill. While it’s not without its problems, the first season of Hitman is jam-packed with delectable content that leaves us champing at the bit for more."},{"server":"HardcoreGamer","url":"https://hardcoregamer.com/2016/06/03/review-hitman-episode-3-marrakesh/209907/","date":"2016-06-03","rating":3,"ratingBase":5,"ratingPercent":60,"abstract":"Hitman Episode 3: Marrakesh is the least impressive installment thus far, but it still holds up as a decent distraction. Marrakesh had so much promise, being a city on the brink of a civil uprising, but its traps and opportunities spread throughout as aren’t inventive as we’ve come to expect. Thankfully, on the technical side of things, Square Enix and IO Interactive have put measures into place where losing connection won’t boot players back to the main menu, making it a far less frustrating experience. The hit itself has some variety to its design and doesn’t break away from the beloved formula, but it still falls flat due to the unimpressive visual design and a less than compelling setting."},{"server":"HardcoreGamer","url":"https://hardcoregamer.com/2016/04/29/review-hitman-episode-2-sapienza/204623/","date":"2016-04-29","rating":4,"ratingBase":5,"ratingPercent":80,"abstract":"The second episode of Hitman is a satisfying adventure that’s once again dragged down by technical issues. Looking past the extensive load times and online connectivity issues, there’s a fantastic episode here, with even more options than ever before. We do wish the lab section was a bit better structured and grander as it felt far too confined in comparison to the rest of level, but fortunately, Sapienza as a whole is not only a beautiful location to traverse, but there are an incredible number of creative and well-designed opportunities scattered about.  If IO Interactive can work out the technical kinks and continues forth with this level of creative quality, they’ll have something special on their hands."}],"updatedAt":"2016-11-07"}
