A giant world with excellent landscape design and plenty of secrets, flexible combat systems for different types of play, a difficulty level that's challenging without feeling too overwhelming, and a building system that makes it easy to toss up great-looking structures without needing a PhD in Game Engine Construction Dynamics, makes for an experience that's easy to get lost in for hours at a time. Over the years, Enshrouded has had plenty of new content added, and the 1.0 release has turned out even bigger and better than anyone would have expected. Whether you play it alone or in multiplayer, or unlock the Sparkworks system and design your own dungeons and other challenges to share with the world, there are a decent number of social options available to keep the game lively. Enshrouded is a phenomenal achievement in survival RPGs, and one not to be missed."}],"updatedAt":"2026-10-15"}
